At one point, it seems some kanoyim were brushing up against those who were spreading the learning of Chassidus. Asks the Rebbe of R’ Avrom Hersh him in a letter, to explain to them the following:

“The world,” says the Gemoro, “cannot exist without a perfume dealer, nor can it exist without one who cleans and prepares animal hides for use. Nevertheless,” continues the Gemoro, “lucky is the one whose profession is in perfume, and woe is unto the one, whose profession it is to workout animal hides..”

Adds the Rebbe: And woe is, if the one whose profession it is to clean hides – disturbs the one whose profession is to bring pleasantness to the world…
