I heard in connection with this, that the Viezener Rov from Chicago ztl, went into yechidus with the Rebbe Rayatz N.E. He was told by the gaboyim not to mention about moving to Chicago. Nevertheless he did mention it. The Rebbe Rayatz N.E. responded, ” I tried to implement things whilst I was there, but the misnagdim stopped me every bit of the way, maybe you will be successful”. This was told to me, by his son in London. He explained to me, that the Chassidim wanted to buy houses, the misnagdim stopped it.
